The address, before anything else

Let's start with the bit you actually need at eleven at night, phone in hand, sitting on the end of a hotel bed. Infinity SW Club is not in Maspalomas. It is in Playa del Inglés: Centro Comercial La Sandía, Avenida de Alemania 3, local 27. Better you read that here than discover it halfway through a taxi ride.

That said, the distinction matters less on the ground than it does on a map. Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés are two centres of the same municipality, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, running into each other with only the dunes in between. Visitors rarely notice where one name stops and the other begins.

For a taxi, the shopping centre is the landmark every local driver knows. Say «C.C. La Sandía, Avenida de Alemania» and you're there; local 27 is inside the complex.

Why it still suits you if you're based in Maspalomas

The south of Gran Canaria splits neatly in two moods. Maspalomas is bungalows, gardens, families walking down to the lighthouse at sunset. Playa del Inglés is the side that wakes up after dark. Adults staying in the first and looking for a proper night out tend to drift towards the second anyway.

There's an underrated benefit to that: privacy. Leaving your complex, taking a short ride and walking into somewhere that isn't on your own street is exactly what most couples want. You won't be sharing a lift the next morning with anyone you met last night.

The six nights, and how they differ

This isn't a venue that simply unlocks the door five times a week. Each night has its own name, crowd and pace, and picking the right one does half the work for you.

First visit? Wednesday and Friday tend to be the gentlest way in — one because the room is calm and couples-only, the other because a DJ and a dance floor let you spend the first hour just watching.

• Monday — Dessous Night: lingerie only, no exceptions. 21:00 to 03:00.
• Wednesday — Couples Night · Date Night: couples only, elegant and unhurried. 21:00 to 03:00.
• Thursday — FKK Night Party: the nudist night, open to couples and to single men and women. 21:00 to 03:00.
• Friday — Hot & Thirsty Friday: disco night with a DJ. 21:00 to 04:00.
• Saturday — Indulge in the Night: the big one, DJ on, dress code sharper. 21:00 to 04:00.
• Sunday — All For One Night: the most explicit evening of the week, limited capacity, booking recommended. 21:00 to 04:00.

What the place is actually like inside

There's a dance floor, a bar, a chill-out area for sitting and talking, a private area and a VIP lounge. Plenty of people spend a whole evening at the bar with a drink, watching the room and going no further. That is a perfectly normal night here and nobody will ask you to explain it.

The rule everything else rests on is consent. A no is accepted the first time — no pushing, no bargaining, no sulking. Watching gives nobody the right to touch, and walking through the door commits you to nothing at all.

Discretion runs both ways, too. What happens inside stays inside, and nobody is obliged to recognise you on the beach the following afternoon.

What to wear

Smart, not costume. Clothes you've thought about, decent shoes, the look of someone who went out on purpose rather than wandering over from the apartment in flip-flops. Saturday is noticeably the sharpest night of the week.

Thursday is the obvious exception, being the FKK night. If you want the detail rather than a sentence, the dress code page goes through it night by night.
